I've been a very bad blogger lately! Here are some photos from the last few weeks. We enjoyed celebrating our first Christmas with Samantha. This weekend marks the one year anniversary of Samantha's "Gotcha Day". I'll post more about that later. For now, enjoy some pictures.

Happy Birthday Joshua
Samantha wanted to wish a belated Happy Birthday to her dear friend, Joshua. I know I'm a bit prejudiced, but I must say that Samantha is really the cutest thing ever! She fills our home with joy and laughter. Life is certainly not dull with her around!
We love you, Joshua!! Happy Birthday!

In Guatemala
We've made it to Guatemala. I'm posting pictures and video on Geovany's blog, so make sure and take a look. He's truly a sweet little boy. We look forward to him coming home!

Giving Thanks
- a full pantry
- freedom to worship
- freedom to homeschool
Tomorrow is the National Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. Humbled, I think of how blessed I am to live in a country that permits freedom of worship.
As we traveled the road to adoption, and as we continue to wait for Geovany, little things constantly awaken me to the responsibility of being an American citizen. Places I can go, things I can do, endless opportunities to share, all because of where I was born. I wonder, am I using those opportunities or do they slip through my fingers? I wonder what plans God has for my children, those who were born here and those who will claim this country as their own, not by birth, but through the miracle of adoption. And then, I am reminded that my true citizenship is not limited by the borders of this great nation.
Blessings,

2Pe 1:10-11 -- So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Doing this, you will never stumble or fall away. And God will open wide the gates of heaven for you to enter into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
